Competence in engine fitting

Course duration: 2 days plus introductory evening Price: Tuition DKK 500, Exam and diploma DKK 599. Including credit card certificate, exam is conducted in collaboration with the Danish Leisure Sailors Union at Brdr. Petersen's machine factory.

• - The main parts of the Diesel engine
• - The Diesel engine's working
• - Start, operate under the hall and stop a diesel engine
• - The electrical systems of the Diesel engine
• - Diesel engine's inspection
• - Measures to avoid fire and to control fire and length
• - Measures to avoid pollution of the marine environment.
• - The course shall be completed by a written and practical test.

Rule set reference:

The certificate of incapacity is issued in engineering for leisure courses, the evidence of incapacity can be converted into a professional certificate, which however requires speed time. The evidence gives the right to operate both with machines of more than 100 kW but less than 750 kW for ships having a hull length exceeding 15 metres.
